Australia & New Zealand Banking Group Ltd. Chief Executive Officer Shayne Elliott discussed the lender's financial results, business outlook, and the state of the Australian and New Zealand economies. ANZ's first-half profit climbed as the bank wound back bad debt provisions made during the pandemic. Elliott didn't rule out the bank’s interest in Citigroup Inc.’s retail operations in Australia.
