ECB's Lagarde: PEPP Buying 'Significantly Faster' in Next Quarter
European Central Bank President Christine Lagarde discusses the factors behind the policy maker's decision to increase the pace of government bond purchases. “The Governing Council expects purchases under the PEPP over the next quarter to be conducted at a significantly higher pace than during the first months of this year," Lagarde said during the opening statement of the ECB's six-weekly briefing in Frankfurt.
