Juul Smokes Competition in E-Cigarette Market
These two Stanford graduates turned their smoking addictions into a billion-dollar industry. In 2007, Adam Bowen and James Monsees founded Ploom, a vaporizer company. In 2015, the duo introduced a USB-shaped e-cigarette called the Juul. Now, their San Francisco-based company Juul Labs is worth 15 billion dollars and controls over half of the market.
