Hello World - U.K.: Watch Three Kids Make Kano Computers

For the past three years, the British startup Kano has tried to change the relationship kids have with their computers. The company makes a colorful do-it-yourself kit that requires youngsters to build a computer from scratch and then sees them off on a series of coding lessons, spurring them to explore both hardware and software imaginatively. Hello World’s host, Ashlee Vance, traveled to London to visit the Kano offices and take part in a computing experiment with the company's devices. Vance watched as three (adorable) children were presented with their Kano boxes and began assembling the machines on their own. In the end, the kids ... well, you'll just have to see how they did.
