Ahead of New York’s presidential primary on April 19, White House hopefuls are descending on (at least some of) the five boroughs to make their pitches. Several candidates have ties to the city: Republican front-runner Donald Trump was born in Queens; Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders, a Democratic candidate, was born in Brooklyn; and Democratic front-runner Hillary Clinton represented New York in the U.S. Senate. While New York City is a frequent destination for political candidates to raise money behind closed doors, the upcoming primary means now they’re hitting the town.
