New legislation takes effect in the UK today, which raises the income threshold to qualify as an angel investor from £100,000 to £170,000. it's part of changes to the Financial Promotions Act, which governs who can be approached to invest in a business. Critics say the new laws will dramatically reduce the number of women that qualify as Angel Investors.
