    Approximately 70,000 refugees entered the United States this year, according to the Immigration Policy Center. Many of them don’t know English. With luck, they are greeted by an interpreter, who assists as they become accustomed to life in the U.S. One such interpreter is Qamar Ahmed, who’s based in Portland, Maine.
