Bundesbank’s Buch Warns Low Rates Could Bring Investors Risks

Claudia Buch, Vice President of Germany’s Bundesbank, warned on Wednesday that conflicting objectives between expansive monetary policy and financial stability could arise if risks aren’t addressed. The Bundesbank also released its own annual financial stability report, saying that the current low interest-rate environment poses challenges primarily for smaller German banks and insurance companies. Buch spoke exclusively with Bloomberg’s Hans Nichols in Frankfurt.
