Congress Awards Gold Medal to Golfer Jack Nicklaus
Golfer Jack Nicklaus is awarded the Congressional Gold Medal, the highest award the lawmakers can give to civilians, at a ceremony in Washington. Nicklaus, who won a record 18 major championships in his career, becomes the third professional golfer to receive award, following Byron Nelson in 2006 and Arnold Palmer in 2009.
