GAO Questions Accuracy of Medicare Payment Data
About a year ago, the Government Accountability Office was tasked with gauging the accuracy of Medicare data at skilled nursing facilities. The Democratic lawmakers who requested the report say having accurate Medicare data is crucial to overseeing the public insurance programs. Turns out, the GAO found, the information might not be very accurate at all.
