Illegal Evidence Allowed in Court (Audio)
(Bloomberg) -- Laurie Levenson, a professor at Loyola Law School and Robert Mintz, a partner at McCarter and English, discuss Monday’s Supreme Court ruling that evidence of a crime may be used against a defendant even if the police did something wrong or illegal in obtaining it. The justices voted 5-3 to reinstate drug related convictions of a Utah man despite the illegal methods the detective used to arrest the man. They speak with Bloomberg Law hosts June Grasso and Michael Best on Bloomberg Radio's "Bloomberg Law."
