Christie Re-Elected in N.J., McAuliffe Wins Governor’s Race in Va.

Governor Chris Christie bolstered his standing as a potential Republican presidential candidate in 2016 by easily winning re-election in New Jersey. Democrat Terry McAuliffe won the Virginia governor’s race after linking his opponent to the Tea Party. In New York City, Bill de Blasio will lead the nation’s most populous city. Voters in six states also were deciding 31 ballot issues.
