Remote Reservation Casino Getting Obama Support

The Tohono O’odham Nation is planning to build a casino resort far from its Tucson-area reservation border. The Obama administration has loosened limits on Indian gaming beyond traditional reservation borders in an attempt to help Native Americans — who suffer higher unemployment rates and lower incomes compared to national averages.
