American Continental Corporation is a Phoenix-based holding company which, prior to its 04/13/89 chapter XI bankruptcy filing, participated in financial services and real estate activities. The Company's principal subsidiary, Lincoln Savings was placed in a conservatorship on 04/14/89. On 12/90, a US District Court ap- proved a settlement agreement calling for the liquidation of "AMC".
