Delaware Court of Common Pleas

The Delaware Court of Common Pleas is a limited jurisdiction trial court for the State of Delaware. It has original jurisdiction in misdemeanor criminal matters and civil matters involving less than $50,000. In addition, the Court hears criminal appeals from Delaware's Justice of the Peace and Alderman's Courts. The Court is composed of nine judges and two commissioners.
