North American Electric Reliability Corporation promotes the reliability of the bulk power system in North America. The Company works with electricity generating and transmission companies to set reliability standards, enforces compliance with those standards, performs summer, winter and 10-year forecasts of the bulk power system, coordinates security needs, and certifies operators.
