Inter-parliamentary Union

Inter-parliamentary Union operates as an international gathering of Parliaments. The Union facilitates contracts and coordination, considers questions regarding parliaments' actions, promotes human rights, and increases knowledge of representative institutions among parliaments of all countries. IPU maintains permanent observer status with the United Nations.
