Schools with fewer than 3 hires are excluded from the list.
Among the ranking’s participants this year, Columbia Business School (No. 5 in the US) sent the most graduates, 256, into the financial industry, followed closely by Wharton with 235. Among schools outside the US, London Business School led the way—102 of its graduates wound up with jobs in the financial sector. The industry continues to be a focal point for MBAs, promising the highest median salaries globally. Although traditional finance jobs still are viable—in investment banking, for example—interest in venture capital jobs has grown over the past decade, but it’s considered harder to land a job in the sector, as it requires some more specialized experience.
