Pointed is a weekly news quiz from Bloomberg designed for risk-takers and news trivia enthusiasts. Offering a strategic twist to the news quiz format, testing not just players’ knowledge of the news but also their confidence in their answers,  Pointed incorporates unique gameplay elements, including point allocations, leverages and hedges that allow players to embrace risk or play with caution.

When and where can I play Pointed?
Pointed is accessible on Bloomberg.com, on mobile and on the Bloomberg Terminal. It is free to play. The quiz runs weekly from Thursdays at 6 p.m. EST to Mondays at 11:59 p.m. EST.

How do I play Pointed?       

Pointed isn’t just about how many questions you get right. It’s about how many points you score. Every week, we’ll give you a pool of 100 points and ask you to allocate them across 10 questions. But you’ll have to do it without seeing what the questions are. Instead, we’ll give you their categories, and you’ll have to decide how likely you are to get the question right based on the category alone. Click here for full instructions.

Is Pointed only for subscribers?

Anyone can play Pointed, however, in order to track your scores week over week we encourage you to register to play.
