2020 Texas Election Results

Texas and its 38 electoral votes have long been the foundation of a Republican’s path to the presidency, but polls have shown that the state could be in play for Joe Biden. Donald Trump won Texas by 9 percentage points in 2016. If the vote is close this year, Texas may not declare a winner on the night of the election. Unlike other states, Texas did not expand absentee or mail-in voting this year, although a record number of Texans voted early.
