At the 2016 Best of Digital Design Competition, hosted by The Society for News Design, Bloomberg was awarded a silver medal for Bloomberg Businessweek’s special issue on global technology. The Global Tech issue, released on June 10, 2016, ventures outside the well-trodden environs of Silicon Valley to uncover the inventors and inventions that are changing the world. Complementing the issue was a custom feature experience on Bloomberg.com.

Every year, the Digital Design Competition honors journalistic, visual and technical excellence. Over a two-day period, judges from across the United States and around the globe review thousands of entries. This year, nearly 60 publications received an award.
