On May 31, Bloomberg launched its newest podcast, Material World which focuses on the consumer universe and digs, “into the stories behind the things you buy.”

The inaugural episode, “Craft is Dead, Long Live Craft,” examines the consumer demand for limited run items created by artisans, including craft beer and small batch ice cream. The broad appeal of smaller craft producers to consumers is impacting large conglomerates and small, local businesses.

The bi-weekly show examines the universe of consumer goods with Bloomberg Retail Reporter Lindsey Rupp and Bloomberg Beverage, Tobacco and Cannabis reporter Jennifer Kaplan.

The second episode of “Material World” will be available June 14, 2016. Material World is available on iTunes Podcasts or Pocket Casts.
