Impact through the work we build
Sambhav K., Engineering – London
For Sambhav, impact at Bloomberg comes from helping teams move advanced AI ideas out of experimentation and into reliable, production-ready systems.
“Bloomberg is unique. You get the ownership and velocity of a startup with the resources and impact of a big company.”
As a research engineer in Bloomberg’s AI Engineering group, Sambhav found himself working at the limits of standard tooling. In response, he and his team built new tools to meet those needs. Today, he leads a team of engineers across New York and London who are focused on creating software that helps Bloomberg teams be more productive when delivering AI systems at scale, closing the gap between experimentation and real-world deployment.

Nitin A., Product — London
For Nitin, working in Product at Bloomberg means variety, ownership, and a direct line of sight between what his teams build and the value clients receive.
“I’ve found my role as a product manager to be highly varied, which is what makes a career in Product exciting and engaging. Some days are spent meeting clients and staying current with industry trends; others are focused on collaborating closely with engineering to define requirements and shape what we’re building together.
Bloomberg has such a dynamic approach to business, and my work in Product allows me to contribute meaningfully to that journey. Every day, I’m gaining a 360-degree view of how what we build translates into value for our clients.”
Nitin’s experience reflects a core part of Bloomberg’s culture: doing work that has clear purpose and real-world impact, through close partnership across disciplines.

James J., CTO – New York
For James, impact at Bloomberg means giving clients the tools to turn data into insight — and insight into action.
“We created a turnkey Python coding environment so clients can create their own powerful insights using Bloomberg data and analytics.”
James helped launch BQuant Desktop, a quantitative analytics solution that sits at the intersection of finance and data science. By enabling analysts to model risk, uncover opportunities, and experiment directly with Bloomberg data and analytics using Python data science libraries, BQuant Desktop empowers clients to build differentiated investment strategies and make more informed decisions.

Growth through learning and opportunity
Mia H., Core Sales – New York
For Mia, a career at Bloomberg has meant continuous growth, not just in role, but in perspective and impact.
“I chose Bloomberg for the growth opportunities and culture of learning, and it’s delivered on that promise. From starting in Analytics working directly with clients, to taking on a deputy leader role advocating for inclusion, I’ve been able to constantly learn, adapt, and expand my skills.”
Mia’s experience reflects Bloomberg’s commitment to developing people over time, creating space for employees to grow their careers while contributing beyond their day-to-day roles.
“I chose Bloomberg for the growth opportunities and culture of learning, and it’s delivered on that promise.“

Darby M., Marketing — New York
For Darby, leading Brand Strategy at Bloomberg means thinking holistically about the brand while taking real ownership of how a global organization shows up in the world, within a culture that values autonomy, accountability, and measurable impact.
“I was surprised by the level of ownership people have here. Teams are deeply proud of their piece of the puzzle and approach their work with an entrepreneurial mindset. Departments operate with a high level of autonomy, treating their work as if it were their own startup, while still contributing to a larger whole.”
“Bloomberg is deeply data-driven, so decisions are backed by rigor, proof, and measurable impact, and there’s real pride in what we accomplish because we can clearly demonstrate results,” adds Darby.
Additionally, Darby, who was promoted from an individual contributor to a team leader at Bloomberg, points to resources that equip new leaders with the skills needed to support their own growth and that of their teams. “I appreciate investment in people. Leadership training and development programs equip new team leaders with practical tools and frameworks to support and develop others,” she says.
Darby’s perspective reflects a defining part of Bloomberg’s culture: a data-driven, people-first environment that encourages initiative, collaboration, and long-term growth.
A culture shaped by community
Gisele B., Data — Princeton
Gisele’s journey to Bloomberg — from Brazil to the U.S., and from individual contributor to team leader — is grounded in curiosity, growth, and a strong sense of community.
“My favorite thing about Bloomberg’s culture is that people are open and willing to help. You can send an email or an instant message and people will happily lend a hand.
Bloomberg cultivates a ‘pay it forward’ mindset, especially through Best of Bloomberg and our philanthropy work. I was the first person in my family to go to college, and now I can pay it forward by passing on advice to students through volunteering and recruitment activities.”
Today, Gisele leads teams that help organize and contextualize information for Bloomberg clients — work that sits at the intersection of data, technology, and human judgment.
stacy-marie i., News – New York
For stacy-marie, Bloomberg’s culture is defined by proximity to expertise and a constant exchange of ideas.
“At Bloomberg, I’m surrounded by such interesting people, and I learn from them every day. In any Bloomberg newsroom you can pick a topic and find one of the foremost experts just a desk or two away.”
That environment of shared knowledge and collaboration is core to how Bloomberg journalists work — and to how the newsroom continues to evolve.

More than a place to work
If you’re interested in building a career where your work has real-world impact — and where people and purpose matter as much as the work itself — explore opportunities at Bloomberg.
Employees’ Choice Award winners for the Best Places to Work 2026 are determined using Glassdoor’s proprietary awards algorithm, and each employer’s rating is determined based on the quantity, quality and consistency of Glassdoor-approved company reviews submitted by U.S.-based employees between October 17, 2024 and October 16, 2025. During the year-long eligibility period, employers considered for the large list must have received at least 75 ratings for each of the nine workplace attributes (overall company rating, career opportunities, compensation and benefits, culture and values, diversity and inclusion, senior management, work-life balance, recommend to a friend, and six-month business outlook). The final list is compiled using Glassdoor’s proprietary algorithm, led by its Economic Research Team, and considers quantity, quality and consistency of reviews. Complete awards methodology can be found via Glassdoor’s Awards & Lists website.
