Spectra-Physics® Unveils Enhanced Widely-Tunable Ultrafast Laser for Multiphoton Imaging
Jul 16 14
JSpectra-Physics has introduced InSight® DS+, a widely-tunable ultrafast laser system with enhanced power levels over its predecessor, the InSight DeepSee™. This extraordinary, new laser system features ultrashort pulses over a very broad tuning range of 680 to 1300 nm for deepest imaging, delivering continuous, fully-automated tuning from a single beam. A second beam provides simultaneous dual-wavelength output at 1041 nm for multimodal imaging. The new InSight DS+ is ideal for in vivo deep tissue imaging for neuroscience, cell biology, and other life science research. The new InSight DS+ offers enhanced power levels of >1.2 W at 900 nm, >1.0 W at 1000 nm and >0.7 W at 1200 nm, and continuous, 680-1300 nm gap-free tuning. The short <120 fs pulse widths, high peak power levels at infrared wavelengths, and integrated dispersion pre-compensation result in imaging penetration depths beyond 1 mm, as successfully demonstrated in live tissue. A second synchronized beam at 1041 nm is available for advanced imaging techniques, including uncaging, dual-wavelength simultaneous imaging, second-harmonic generation (SHG), third-harmonic generation (THG), coherent anti-Stokes Raman scattering (CARS), and stimulated Raman scattering (SRS) imaging. This fully-automated ultrafast laser can be seamlessly tuned by software to any wavelength within seconds. The laser system also has ideal beam characteristics optimized for multiphoton imaging. InSight DS+ is designed, built, and tested to stringent quality standards for hands-free, reliable operation.
Spectra-Physics, Inc. Launches High Energy, One-Box Ultrafast Amplifiers
Jul 11 14
Spectra-Physics, Inc. introduced a line of high energy, one-box, ultrafast amplifier products with high performance. The new Solstice® Ace features high energy of >6 mJ and high power of >7 W with ultrashort. This new line of ultrafast amplifiers deliver new levels of performance in a one-box form factor to propel new ultrafast science.
Spectra-Physics Launches Talon 355-15 W UV Laser at Laser World of Photonics China
Mar 24 14
Spectra-Physics introduced Talon 355-15, a new addition to its Talon family of disruptive cost-performance Q-switched diode-pumped solid-state lasers. The new laser delivers >15 W UV power, >300 µJ pulse energy, wide-repetition-rate range of 0 to 500 kHz, and excellent beam profile and stability. With high reliability, lowest cost-of-ownership and excellent performance, Talon 355-15 is perfect for powering 24/7 manufacturing of PCBs, semiconductors, LEDs, ceramics, flat panel displays, solar cells, glass and many other devices and materials. Available in >15, >12 and >6 W UV and >20 W green versions, Talon is an “It’s in the Box” laser, combining power supply and laser head into a single, common rugged package for simple system integration and easy intermixing between models to achieve specific end customer requirements. Talon has passed extensive environmental qualification testing, and each laser is subjected to rigorous production tests to ensure high reliability for operation in 24/7 applications.
