Dow Jones announced the official launch of Newsmart, a new digital-first learning product combining daily news content from The Wall Street Journal with a unique teaching engine comprising over 2,500 comprehension, grammar and vocabulary exercises. Available both for individuals and institutions, Newsmart utilizes the expertise of a professional learning team and gamification theory to make mastering Business English engaging and rewarding. With exclusive access to the Journal’s daily news feeds, Newsmart’s dedicated English language learning team carefully curates six articles on a daily basis and up to two videos a week focused on business, finance and technology news. Users log in to read and watch content, and then complete in-context comprehension, grammar and vocabulary exercises. Designed to maximize rewarding interactions, the program uses points and badges to award achievements, as well as a leaderboard to drive competitive engagement. Newsmart is available for individuals, as well as institutions and corporations as Newsmart Pro, which features enhanced data analytics to monitor employee performance against Toeic, Toefl and other recognized international English certifications. Designed as a digital learning tool for busy professionals, Newsmart is available online, as an app for Android phones, and on iOS phones (for Pro subscribers). Following a free 30-day trial for consumer users, the monthly cost for Newsmart is $7.50USD. Pricing for Newsmart Pro is based on the number of company licenses purchased.
Hiperos and Dow Jones Announce Strategic Partnership in Third-Party Anti-Bribery/Anti-Corruption Compliance

Hiperos and Dow Jones announced a strategic partnership to deliver third-party anti-bribery/anti-corruption (ABAC) compliance solutions globally. The new strategic alliance brings together complementary components in the anti-bribery/anti-corruption compliance value chain, including risk and compliance data and third-party management software. The firms have collaborated to build a seamless real-time interface connecting Dow Jones Risk and Compliance data with the Hiperos3PM third-party management platform, delivering a rapid-response ABAC solution. The new interface is already tested, released and available in the current release of the Hiperos platform. The collaboration is in response to continued pressure on companies to improve their ABAC programs in line with rising governance standards and regulatory mandates, including the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA), and increasing demand for better responsiveness and performance. The solution covers a broad range of third parties including distributors, resellers, partners, affiliates, suppliers, vendors, brokers and agents. It also covers a complete range of industry verticals including media and entertainment, oil and gas, life sciences, defense, energy, financial services, retail, manufacturing, real estate and technology.

The partnerships with Dow Jones, McGraw Hill Financial’s S&P Capital IQ, and Selerity, enhance the content pillar of Symphony’s platform by bringing organizations closer to the information they consume and distribute, while streamlining workflow productivity. As part of this integration, Symphony subscribers will have quick and easy access to premium content from Dow Jones and The Wall Street Journal’s reporting network. As part of this integration, Symphony users will be able to seamlessly access S&P Capital IQ company data including key company financials, estimates, ratios and ownership. S&P Capital IQ customers will be able to link directly to the S&P Capital IQ platform for deeper insight and analysis. As this functionality is released, Symphony users will have access to a growing amount of content and insight from S&P Capital IQ and McGraw Hill Financial. As part of Selerity Context’s integration with Symphony, financial professionals will have seamless access to contextually relevant news, research, and Selerity’s proprietary breaking news notifications. The service allows users to rapidly discover content based on search queries and be alerted on relevant trending events.
