Allbritton Communications Company may select two buyers for its TV stations, sources told TV News Check. Disney/ABC Television Group is said to be the main potential buyer for Allbritton's flagship station WJLA, TV News Check reported July 19, 2013, citing sources familiar with the M&A sector. Sinclair Broadcast Group Inc. (NasdaqGS:SBGI), Nexstar Broadcasting Group, Inc. (NasdaqGM:NXST), The Hearst Corporation, LIN TV Corp. (NYSE:TVL), Meredith Corporation (NYSE:MDP), Raycom Media, Inc. and Tribune Company (OTCPK:TRBA.A) are among the companies reportedly in the running to purchase Allbritton's TV stations, possibly including WJLA. A person familiar with the deal told the news source that some investors are "less than thrilled" with the current deal price.
