This week on Masters in Business, we speak with Louise Yamada, managing director of Technical Research Advisors LLC (“LYA”), and a veteran technical analyst who for a number of years received Institutional Investor’s top ranking.

Our discussion is a master class in technical analysis, and Yamada describes her approach to divergences, trends, relative strength, and supply and demand, and what it can mean for investors. Among other things, Yamada makes the case that the 2013 stock-market breakout augers a new secular bull market, one that may generate gains for years to come.
