And to avert a default on our bills.

It will be sometime before we realize the effects of what we have just done.

The shutdown has hurt our economy to a significant degree.

But we were able to work it out.

We don't need to have any more losses.

We have been able to come together for a lot of different reasons.

I appreciate the work of a number of senators.

I think one of the most important things that we have been able to do is get senator mcconnell and i together.

I am grateful that alexander reached out to senator schumer, being the peacemaker that he is, he suggested that they start doing what they could to engage senator mcconnell and i. as a result of that, i think we were able to talk and hopefully develop a strong relationship.

Senator mcconnell and i have worked together for many years.

Anyway, i appreciate the work that senators alexander and schumer did.

I am grateful for the gang of senators that they did some things that helped us.

I would hope that in the future, the work that was done -- they will be able to get together to create some separation here from all of this shrill voice.
