Rapha creates products, content and services for road cyclists. In addition to clothing and cycle accessories, the company also has a travel service offering luxury cycle tours and a riding club of 3,500 paying members who can access ‘club houses’ in key cities. These sell products, serve food and drinks and screen live racing. Staff numbers have quadrupled since 2012 and in 2015 the company grew revenues by more than 30% – as it has done each year since launch, its CEO has said – and expanded its product range to include sunglasses. 2016 will see Rapha sponsor a women’s professional cycling team, Canyon/SRAM, which features nine elite athletes from six different countries.
