Darktrace creates enterprise cybersecurity technology that uses machine learning techniques to adapt to new threats (such as malware, ransomware, server hijacking or other suspicious activity) – much like the human immune system. The startup says it has grown revenues by more than 100% and doubled its number of employees to 175 between 2014 and 2015. In July 2015 the company also raised $22.5 million in funding from US venture capital firm Summit Partners. Darktrace’s customers include BT, Virgin Trains, Sisley and AccorHotels.
