Martindale Pharma announced a new licensing agreement with its strategic partner Unimedic AB for its Emergency Care sterile ampoule products in Sweden, Denmark, Norway and Finland. Under the new agreement, Unimedic AB will launch three undisclosed products. This builds on the long term relationship between the companies in Scandinavia which has seen Unimedic AB successfully commercialise a Martindale Pharma adrenaline ampoule product in Sweden. Financial terms of the agreement were not disclosed. The Companies will work together on regulatory and supply chain activities leading to the launch of the products.

Altia Plc and Unimedic AB have agreed to start a cooperation regarding the production of Swedish Aquavits and spiced spirits. Altia and Unimedic will invest into production equipment and new factory building. The production process includes distillation, extraction and maturation of Swedish Aquavits and spiced spirits. The factory is located in Matfors, Sundsvall. The agreement covers all Altia's Swedish Aquavits and spiced spirits (kryddat brannvin) O.P. Anderson, Skane Akvavit, Hallands Flader, Baska Droppar, Gammal Norrlands Akvavit, Ostgota Sadesbrannvin, Lacko Slottsaquavit, Herrgards Aquavit, Ranas Brannvin, Nykpingsbrannvin, Svartvinbarsbrannvin and Ortagardsbrannvin. Altia relocates the production of the Swedish Aquavits and spiced spirits and secures the continuation of the Swedish origin. The construction of the new distillery in Matfors, Sundsvall has started and it is planned to be ready for production early 2017. The plant will be certified for organic production.
