Caesars Acquisition Company (NasdaqGS:CACQ) is in exclusive talks to sell the online games business of Caesars Interactive Entertainment, Inc. to a Chinese consortium that includes Giant Interactive Group, Inc. Reportedly the deal could be valued more than $4.2 billion. According to Reuters, Hasbro Inc. (NasdaqGS:HAS) and Netmarble Games Corporation are also in the race to acquire the company.

Caesars Acquisition Gets $4 billion Offers For Interactive Unit

Caesars Acquisition Company (NASDAQ:CACQ) has received offers exceeding $4 billion for its unit Interactive Entertainment Inc., Reuters reported, citing sources in the know. Caesars has been approached by several parties interested in the business. While Interactive Entertainment is not formally on sale, Caesars Acquisition has hired investment bank Raine Group LLC to assist with reviewing the offers, one source told Reuters.

Caesars Interactive Entertainment Reportedly Mulls Sale

Caesars Interactive Entertainment, Inc. is considering a sale of its fast-growing mobile- and social-games business, according to Wall Street Journal. The company is working with Raine Group LLC to evaluate unsolicited bids that have exceeded $4 billion, people familiar with the matter said. Suitors include financial firms and gaming, media and entertainment companies, one of the people said. There is no formal sales process, and it is possible there won’t be any deal, Mitch Garber, who runs the online-games businesses, said in an interview. “We want to hear what people have to say, for sure,” he said.
