Karen Millen Fashions Limited Key Developments

Oasis And Warehouse Likely To Close Stores As Sale Approaches

Branches of Warehouse, Oasis and Coast could close after the brands are auctioned off to a new owner. Potential new owners include Alteri Partners LLP and Endless LLP, according to the Telegraph, raising concerns that shops will be shut down to save money. The package of High Street labels was put up for sale in November by its administrators for its owner Kaupthing, a failed Icelandic bank. Karen Millen Fashions Limited, which is also owned by Kaupthing's administrators, has also been tipped for sale.

Kaupthing To Put UK's Oasis, Coast And Warehouse Up For Sale

Administrators for failed Icelandic bank Kaupthing hf. are reportedly looking to sell off British high street retailers including Coast Fashions Limited, Oasis Fashions Limited and Warehouse Fashions Limited which employ thousands of people, four sources familiar with the matter said. The administrators are also looking at options for the more upmarket Karen Millen Fashions Limited, two of the sources said. Kaupthing invited banks to pitch late in October 2016, for a mandate to auction the retail assets early 2017, the sources said, but could face a tough sell. A sale of Oasis, Warehouse and Coast could be worth less than £100 million, two of the sources told Reuters. One of them said it might draw interest from private equity funds. Kaupthing, which filed for bankruptcy in 2008 and whose former executives were charged with fraud, did not respond to requests for comment, while the retailers were not immediately available for comment.
