Kevin Moriaty Joins Murphy as Group Investment Director

Kevin Moriaty joined Murphy as the firm's new group investment director. Moriarty, who previously has worked for Lendlease, Laing O'Rourke, MPGA and Lands Improvement, joined Murphy at the end of May 2017. He has more than 28 years of experience in infrastructure, construction, development, property and investment, and worked on a number of major projects including the London 2012 Olympics, Bluewater Shopping Centre and a 600-acre development in Houghton Regis. As well as taking over Murphy's property portfolio, Moriaty will work on the group's investment strategy to deliver its 10-year plan. This will include property, infrastructure assets, technology, PFI, acquisitions and capital expenditure.

Murphy has created the new position of chief operating officer as it continues to strengthen its senior management team. John B Murphy takes on the role of COO with immediate effect. He will also continue his current role as managing director for the north.
