Lausanne Hockey Club Selects AEG Facilities to Manage New Arena in Lausanne, Switzerland

Further expanding its European footprint, AEG Facilities has been selected by the Lausanne Hockey Club to manage their new arena in Lausanne, Switzerland. Set to Open in Summer 2019, the City-owned venue will be home to the Lausanne Hockey Club Lions as well as other sporting contests, concerts family shows and special events. Effective immediately, AEG Facilities will be responsible for providing operations and design input during the construction-management phase of the project, transitioning to overseeing the hiring and training of the venue’s full staff while managing key arena departments such as event operations, security, ticketing, guest services, marketing, public relations, finance, human resources and overall event management. Richard Krezwick, Senior Vice President, AEG Facilities, and one of the venue industry’s most respected leaders, will oversee the project for AEG Facilities. AEG Facilities will also design the overall grand opening plan for the new Lausanne arena that will feature a unique design with first-class premium seating and four special seating configurations that will accommodate events ranging from 4,000 to 11,500. The long-term agreement expands AEG Facilities’ significant portfolio and footprint in Europe and across the globe.
AEG Facilities to Provide Full Management Services to Friends Arena in Solna, Stockholm, Sweden

AEG Facilities and Arenabolaget in Solna AB jointly announced that the two companies have entered into a long-term agreement whereby AEG Facilities will manage Friends Arena. As part of the multi-year agreement, AEG Facilities will provide full management services to the arena, including event programming, vendor venue services, advertising and marketing, as well as oversee event-day operations for the arena, which is anchored by the Mall of Scandinavia, the biggest mall in the region, and adjacent the newly developed city district named Arenastaden.
AEG Facilities Expands its Relationship with Archaio

AEG Facilities has announced that it is expanding its relationship with Archaio in a new multi-year partnership that aims to increase efficiencies in asset inspection and facilities management across a number of AEG-owned and/or operated facilities nationwide. The patented technology provides secure, real-time inspection information that is available across mobile devices and gives users maximum visibility into the entire inspection and/or quality assurance protocol. The partnership builds on AEG's existing relationship with Archaio at STAPLES Center, Microsoft Theater and L.A. LIVE (Los Angeles, CA), as well as Barclays Center (Brooklyn, NY). AEG and Archaio will begin rolling out the software in the expanded agreement to facilities domestically immediately, which initially includes Sprint Center, (Kansas City, MO), StubHub Center (Carson, CA), Valley View Casino Center (San Diego, CA), Gila River Arena (Glendale, AZ), Oracle Arena (Oakland, CA), Target Center (Minneapolis, MN), PPG Paints Arena (Pittsburgh, PA), KFC Yum! Center (Louisville, KY), Los Angeles Convention Center (Los Angeles, CA), Hawaii Convention Center (Honolulu, HI) and Puerto Rico Convention Center (San Juan, PR). The Archaio technology offers a new level of quality control and streamlined efficiency for facilities. The mobile and cloud-based software creates a modernized inspection environment where venue staff are able to easily perform inspections and preventative maintenance tasks on almost any mobile device. The data is then captured and available to management in real time via detailed dashboards and reporting analytics. The system can also be used 100% paper free, which is not only cost efficient for AEG Facilities but also beneficial to the environment.
