It serves approximately 169,600 customers. The company was formerly known as Aquila Networks Canada (British Columbia) Ltd. and changed its name to FortisBC Inc. in June 2004. FortisBC Inc. was founded in 1897 and is based in Kelowna, Canada. FortisBC Inc. is a subsidiary of FortisBC Pacific Holdings Inc.
