CCECC (China Civil Engineering Construction Corporation) Malawi branch office has signed the Dowa highway project contract with Malawi Highway Bureau. It marks the begin construction of the project. The main content of the project is to upgrade the existing road to asphalt concrete road and part of the subsidiary projects. The total length of the project is 15km with the working period of 18 months.
China Civil Engineering Construction Corporation entered into Abuja Rail Mass Transit Project Addendum No. 2 Agreement with the Federal Capital Territory Administration of the Government of the Republic of Nigeria. The agreement is the Abuja Rail Mass Transit Phase II Construction Contract. The contract is the second implementation contract of Abuja Rail Mass Transit Contract Agreement entered into on 25 May 2007 at a consideration of USD 841 million. The first implementation contract (Abuja Rail Mass Transit Phase I) with a contract amount of USD 823 million was entered into on 24 August 2012. For the signed phase II construction of Abuja rail mass transit, the total length of the rail mass transit is 32.535 km with a maximum designed operation speed of 100km/h, and the construction period is 54 months. The project contract amount is approximately USD 1.473 billion, which is equivalent to approximately RMB 10.166 billion. Both parties entered into Abuja Rail Mass Transit Agreement for Supply of Rolling Stocks and Depot Equipment for Phase I and Abuja Rail Mass Transit Agreement for Services for Operation of Phase One at the same time. The major content of the agreement for supply of equipment is supply of 12 sets of rolling stocks, equipment for depot and three-year maintenance service for rolling stocks; the services for operation and management include a preparation period of five months and a formal operation period of 36 months. The contract amounts are USD 194 million and USD 126 million, respectively, which are equivalent to approximately RMB 1.339 billion and RMB 869 million, respectively.
China Civil Engineering Construction Corporation has signed a USD 2.26 billion contract of Chipata-Petauke-Serenje railway in Zambia. The contracted value represents 2.51% of incomes gained in 2015.
