March Networks and KIND Financial Introduce Video-Enabled Seed-To-Sale Tracking and Compliance Solution for the Cannabis Industry
Nov 13 17
March Networks® and KIND Financial have partnered to deliver an enhanced tracking and security solution to the cannabis industry to help ensure seed-to-sale compliance. The solution combines video from high-resolution IP cameras with data from radio frequency identification (RFID)-tagged plants and packages, enabling operators to seamlessly track and visually verify inventory as it moves within cultivation and on to dispensaries. Using the March Networks Searchlight™ for Retail data analytics platform, licensed growers, producers, and retailers can run searches on a wide range of data contained in the RFID tags, including a plant's ID code and its last detected location. In the case of an anomaly, such as missing inventory, users can quickly access the associated video footage to see exactly where the item went and who was involved. The clear video eliminates assumptions about what's occurred and provides strong evidence to support further investigation. In addition, the Searchlight solution provides producers and dispensaries with real-time and historical views into their operations via a mobile device or workstation, enabling them to conduct remote audits and identify areas for improvement. It also offers video analytics and point-of-sale (POS) transaction integration presented in customizable reports to help dispensary owners quickly detect and review suspect transactions, analyze performance trends, improve customer service and gain other business insights. The solution is an ideal fit for the cannabis industry, where regulations such as Colorado's HB 1284 legislation – commonly known as the seed-to-sale law – have seen many businesses deploying RFID technology to help ensure compliance with strict mandates governing the tracking of plants from cultivation to sale. It also provides an additional layer of visual verification linked to RFID data as part of KIND Financial's end-to-end plant tracking and management platform. The platform, which also includes Bluetooth (BLE)-enabled tracking technology, enables cannabis manufacturers, processors, and retailers to automate processes, remove manual entry issues, and track their teams and assets while also keeping the business in adherence with all cannabis industry regulations and guidelines.
March Networks Introduces Enterprise-Class Command Center Software Solution
Sep 26 17
March Networks introduced its new March Networks Command™ Center. An enterprise-class software solution, Command Center provides organizations with easy-to-use surveillance video display and control, as well as intelligent alarm management and escalation. Highly flexible, the solution supports advanced monitoring and real-time incident assessment in large-scale security operations centers and centralized video walls to mid-sized surveillance environments. Integrated with March Networks' Command Enterprise video management software, high-performance video recorders and IP cameras, Command Center delivers key features that support efficient, more accurate alarm and event handling. These capabilities include convenient process guidance, which uses a series of built-in questions and instructions to ensure operators never have to guess how an alarm should be processed or directed, and intelligent workflows that can automatically handle designated alarms behind the scenes without direct operator intervention. An alarm resolution form also provides a consistent user interface for resolving alarms and capturing operators' notes. All actions are logged in the Command Center system, enabling organizations to conduct quick, comprehensive searches on alarm history, along with reports on individual alarm entries. Delivering intuitive video display and management, Command Center's drag-and-drop feature allows operators to quickly 'move' the cameras they want displayed onto their video wall. The software also supports multilayered maps that enable operators to move floor-to-floor through their facilities virtually and quickly call up detailed plans for any room. Command Center runs on commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) servers and workstations, supports multiple display monitors from a single workstation, and can decode as many as 32 video streams per display. Highly flexible and scalable, it decodes all types of standard codecs (including H.264, MPEG-4 and MJPEG) on a single matrix view, and can be expanded simply by adding new workstations when new display monitors are needed.
March Networks Announces Innovative HD Analog Capability Video Recording Solution
Sep 5 17
March Networks® introduced a new hybrid video recording platform able to support high-definition (HD) analog video in addition to all-IP and standard analog video channels. The new March Networks 8724 V Hybrid Network Video Recorder (NVR) provides organizations with the custom combination of video capture they need right out of the box. It enables them to get sharp HD video using existing analog infrastructure, while avoiding the cost and disruption typically required to replace coaxial cable with Ethernet. Available in an innovative, space-saving wall mount, and delivering all the reliability and serviceability customers have come to expect from March Networks, the 8724 V Hybrid NVR makes it easy for retailers, financial institutions, school districts and other organizations to transition to an intelligent, HD video solution affordably and at their own pace. The 8724 V Hybrid NVR's unique design uses analog power and Power over Ethernet (PoE) modules to support a variety of IP and HD analog video configurations, up to a maximum of 24 channels. For example, an organization could deploy the 8724 V to capture HD video from eight HD analog and 16 IP cameras at one location, and eight IP and 8 HD analog cameras at a second site. All camera licensing is included regardless of the configuration, making the recorder even more cost-effective.
