Kazakhstan Temir Zholy announced earnings results for the first quarter ended March 2017. For the quarter, the company's revenue increased 11.1% year over year to comprise KZT 200.459 billion, gross profit rose 20% to KZT 29.828 billion, profit before tax amounted to KZT 39.469 billion compared with loss before tax of KZT 18.057 in the first quarter of last year.
