MobileIron and Zimperium to Deliver First Real-Time Detection and Remediation for Mobile Threats
Oct 3 17
MobileIron announced that MobileIron will integrate Zimperium's machine learning-based threat detection with MobileIron's security and compliance engine and sell the combined solution. This integration will address one of the most significant mobile security gaps faced by enterprises: the ability to detect device, network, and application threats and immediately take automated actions to protect enterprise data. Interest in mobile threat detection is high but adoption is just starting Despite the rise of high-profile mobile attacks such as Broadpwn and BlueBorne, MobileIron'sMobile Security and Risk Review found that less than 5% of enterprises around the world have implemented anti-malware solutions. Partnership will close the gap between time of detection and remediation: Zimperium delivers zero-day, machine learning and behavioral-based detection on the device itself, as opposed to other vendors that require signatures or cloud lookups. This eliminates the delay of pure cloud lookup solutions and ensures devices are protected whether they are connected to a network or not, and even during a Man-in-the-Middle (MITM) attack. With the new integration, once Zimperium's engine detects a threat, MobileIron can take an immediate and automated remediation action -without having to rely on a cloud query.
Zimperium® Announces On-Device Detection of Undetected Mobile Malware
Sep 28 17
Zimperium is announcing z9 for Mobile Malware. In addition to its proven efficacy against zero-day device and network attacks, z9 is the only machine learning-based engine capable of detecting previously unknown mobile malware on-device without the delays and risks of cloud-based lookups. z9 for Mobile Malware is initially available for all Android devices. Zimperium provides the most integrated and scalable mobile threat defense platform. The solution delivers real-time, on-device threat detection for Android and iOS devices. To date, Zimperium's machine learning-based engine, z9, has detected 100% of zero-day mobile exploits without requiring an update. z9 protects devices and their data via the zIPS™ mobile Intrusion Prevention System app, and mobile apps and their sessions via zIAP™, the In-App Protection SDK. The platform's management console, zConsole, integrates with leading enterprise mobility management (EMM), security information and event management (SIEM) and single-sign-on (SSO) solutions. The platform's deployment options include Shared SaaS, Dedicated SaaS and On-Premise (via an organization's private cloud). As a part of Zimperium's mission to improve the security of the entire mobile ecosystem, the company will also be providing previously undetected mobile malware to industry sources such as VirusTotal and Google. z9 for Mobile Malware will be deployed alongside Zimperium's existing detection capabilities during the first week of October, and be phased into full production around the world during fourth quarter of 2017. The engine will be included in Zimperium zIPS licenses at no additional charge.
