Banner Del E. Webb Medical Center Enters Partnership with Wickenburg Community Hospital

Banner Del E. Webb Medical Center and Wickenburg Community Hospital have entered into a unique partnership that is benefitting patients living in Wickenburg and the surrounding area. Through this new agreement, monitoring technicians sitting at Banner Del E. Webb Medical Center, 14502 W Meeker Blvd. in Sun City West, are remotely performing heart monitoring on patients being cared for at Wickenburg Community Hospital, 520 Rose Lane in Wickenburg, allowing them to remain in their community. Banner Del E. Webb has a central telemonitoring room that houses specially-trained technicians who continually monitor the vital signs and heart rhythms of patients via a bank of monitors and other specialized equipment. They alert bedside caregivers when they observe something that isn’t normal. Challenged by a shortage of monitoring techs within their community and the high costs of providing around-the-clock monitoring within their facility, Wickenburg Community Hospital officials began looking for a new and better way to provide this critical service. Their search led them to Banner Del E. Webb, which had the ability to take on Wickenburg’s patients without adding additional staff.
