Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corp. announced revenue results for the nine months ended September 2017. For the nine months, the company said revenue rose 11.14% to PHP 42.38 billion, beating its target for the period. The company expects about PHP 155 billion to PHP 160 billion in gross gaming revenue this year, which is about 30% more than its 2016 target, and 4% above its actual PHP 149 billion revenue for that year.

Philippine Airlines Insists its Lease Contract with Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corp

Philippine Airlines (PAL) insisted its lease contract with the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corp. (PAGCOR) for a 10-hectare property in the old Nayong Pilipino complex is legal and valid. The Lucio Tan-led airline said it expects PAGCOR to honor the contract, which will expire on July 11, 2033. Under the contract, PAL would pay a monthly rental fee of PHP 40 per square meter. At the time of the contract signing, PAL paid one month advance rental and a security deposit equivalent to five months rental or PHP 24 million. PAL acknowledged that the lease contract only allows it to use the property as aircraft parking, ramp, and apron facility. The contract requires PAL to secure prior written consent from PAGCOR if it would use the property for another purpose.
