The Caribbean Development Bank and the United Nations Development Programme have signed an agreement that provides a framework to improve cooperation between the two entities. The signing took place at the Bank's headquarters in Barbados on June 15, 2017. The agreement allows CDB to utilize expertise from UNDP in the execution of specific projects, which the Bank is funding, so that the most effective outcomes for the Bank's 19 borrowing member countries are achieved. Under the agreement, UNDP may be called upon to execute projects financed by CDB to reduce poverty and to gain access to energy, water and sanitation services and improvement of social infrastructure services, where external support is needed. The Caribbean Development Bank and Inter-American Development Bank Sign Agreement to Strengthen Partnership

The Caribbean Development Bank and the Inter-American Development Bank signed a memorandum of understanding to strengthen their ongoing partnership in addressing the Caribbeans development priorities. Through the MOU, signed at the IDBs headquarters in Washington, D.C. on February 21, 2017, both institutions have renewed their commitment to collaborating on programmes and projects that contribute to sustainable economic development in the region. The agreement formalizes their cooperation in CDB borrowing member countries that are also members of the IDB, and countries in the Organisation of Eastern Caribbean States. Through a unique charter provision, IDB resources are channelled to OECS countries that are not members of the Washington-based Bank, through CDB. The MOU embodies the common vision for the sustainable development of the Caribbean that IDB and CDB share.
