Camelot UK Lotteries Limited Key Developments

Camelot UK Lotteries Launches Strategic Review

Camelot UK Lotteries Limited is launching a strategic review to boost "disappointing" ticket sales after they fell by £670 million in 2016. The review, led by Chief Executive Officer Nigel Railton, will focus on commercial plans to boost sales performance; investment in technology and systems; the current business structure; and finding a long-term successor for out-going Chief Executive Officer Andy Duncan. Chairman Jo Taylor said: "Sales in 2016/17 fell well short of where we'd like them to be - largely down to a disappointing year for draw-based games and Lotto in particular. There's clearly work to be done to re-engage players and address the performance of our draw-based games - and this is one key area that Nigel is focusing on as part of the wider review he is conducting."

Camelot UK Lotteries Announces Executive Changes

Camelot UK Lotteries announced that its chief executive Andy Duncan is stepping down from his role after nearly six years with the company. Nigel Railton, CEO of Camelot Global, will take over UK operations during this transitional period, and whilst the board considers its options for permanent succession. Over the coming months Andy will work with Nigel and the board to support a smooth transition and continue to represent Camelot UK on the committees of the European Lotteries Association, World Lottery Association and the EuroMillions Lottery Operators Board until the summer.
