Eleven Engineering Inc. announced the launch of the Strawberry 3 Amplified SKAA Wireless Audio Receiver Module. Strawberry 3 will be available in fourth quarter of 2016. The latest iteration of the Strawberry Module now offers the Merus Audio eximo digital amplifier technology. Strawberry 3’s audio output is BOM selectable for either 40W or 70W per channel. Eleven Engineering’s proprietary adaptive frequency hopping protocol uses a narrow footprint in the 2.4 GHz band allowing seamless co-existence with other devices and offering unparalleled Quality of Service. Eleven Engineering Inc. announced that launch of the new Talisa (MSRP: $79.99) and Akiko (MSRP: $79.99) audio transmitters, now available at the SKAA.com store. SKAA is the new wireless HiFi audio standard developed by Eleven Engineering Inc. SKAA transmitters work with iOS & Android mobile devices, Mac & Windows computers, televisions, and just about any product with a line output or a headphone jack. SKAA is also available as a built-in technology not requiring an external transmitter in purpose-designed partner products, which are featured at SKAA.com. In environments laden with heavy Wi-Fi and Bluetooth traffic, SKAA navigates through these hostile environments with best-in-class reliability. SKAA also allows for uninterrupted audio signals that are delivered with the higher sound quality to all speakers without the latency that is inherent in other wireless solutions. Talisa and Akiko both don’t require Wi-Fi, and both have incredibly low latency. Both also have an indoor range of 35 meters (more than 100 feet), while the outdoor range can be exceeded. Talisa and Akiko can send audio to up to four SKAA speakers, receivers, and/or headphones at the same time (compare that with standard Bluetooth which can only send audio to one, solitary device) with audio quality at 480 kbps (compare to iTunes Store standard 256 kbps). They both also have no internal battery of their own as they get their required power from the connected device. They can use up to five SKAA transmitters in the home at the same time….that’s up to 20 speakers at once. Both Talisa and Akiko ship free with SKAA OS 2.4 (and work with all receivers running SKAA OS 2.1 or newer). Speakers incorporating SKAA Nadja technology give them the best of both worlds…the ubiquity of Bluetooth and the flexibility and performance of SKAA. SKAA.com also offers the opportunity to download the optional SKAA cmd app. SKAA cmd is available for iOS, Android, Mac, Windows, and enables users to individually control bonded SKAA-equipped speakers, receivers, and amplified receivers. Users can custom-name each receiver, control their volume and mute, define how left and right audio is routed to them, and more.
