HSBC France reported consolidated earnings results for the second half year and full year ended December 31, 2017. For the year 2017, the company reported net interest income was €1,048 million against €1,218 million a year ago. Net operating income before loan impairment and other credit risk provisions was €1,907 million against €2,317 million a year ago. Profit before tax was €219 million against €432 million a year ago. Profit for the year was €176 million against €312 million a year ago. Profit attributable to shareholders of the parent company was €177 million against €310 million a year ago. HSBC France SA to Lay Off 466 Employees by 2018

HSBC France SA intends to lay off 466 employees by 2018. The bank, which has approximately 9,500 employees in France, said the redundancies will be carried out on a voluntary basis mainly in its IT, operations and finance departments.
