PEMCO World Air Services, Inc. announced that Pastor Lopez left the aircraft maintenance and conversion company for personal reasons. Ben Ward, PEMCO's chief financial officer for the past six years, was promoted to the position of general manager. As general manager, Ward will effectively serve as CEO. Prior to joining PEMCO, Wards held numerous accounting and financial positions at KPMG, as well as CFO at Berkline/BenchCraft and Imperial Group LP.
PEMCO World Air Services Appoints David Beaver as Director of Planning

PEMCO World Air Services (PEMCO) has announced the appointment of David Beaver from production control manager to director of planning. He will be based in Tampa, Fla. where he will oversee all planning and production control processes and procedures. Beaver will succeed Tim Howard, who retired in April 2017. Beaver started his aviation career as a mechanic in 1999 at PEMCO's Dothan, Ala. facility, where he also served as a supervisor and manager until 2012. He then worked at ST Aerospace and AAR as a production manager prior to his return to PEMCO in 2016, taking the role of production manager and, most recently, production control manager. As director of planning, Beaver will be responsible for monitoring, tracking and adjusting the production flow plan analyzing budgets, schedules, and manpower levels and overseeing a department of 25 plus employees. He brings almost 20 years' aviation industry experience to his new role.
PEMCO Launches B737-700 Flexcombi & Full-Freighter Aircraft Conversion Programs

PEMCO World Air Services has launched its Passenger-to-FlexCombi and Passenger-to-Freighter conversion programs for the Boeing Next Generation 737-700 aircraft. The programs will be marketed as B737-700FC (FlexCombi) and B737-700F (Freighter). PEMCO World Air Services offers two conversion programs for the Boeing Next Generation 737-700 aircraft: the Passenger-to-Freighter (B737-700F) conversion and the Passenger-to-FlexCombi (B737-700FC) conversion. The launch customer for the PEMCO B737-700FC is Bahrain-based Chisholm Enterprises, an internationally recognized provider of tailored aviation and business solutions in the Middle East. Its subsidiary Texel Air, a non-scheduled cargo airline, will operate the B737-700FC from Bahrain International Airport.
