Love’s Travel Stops Opens Store in Denton, Texas

Love’s Travel Stops continues to invest in the state of Texas with the opening of its newest travel stop in Denton. The new store, located at 6421 N. Interstate 35 (Interstate 35, Exit 471), opened on March 8, 2018, bringing Love’s total number of travel stops in the Lone Star State to 68. Love’s operates more travel stops and employs more people in Texas than any other state. With the addition of approximately 60 employees at the new Denton location, Love’s has more than 3,200 employees across Texas. The 14,000-square-foot facility is open 24/7 and features Subway, Wendy’s and Godfather’s Pizza restaurants. The store offers brand-name snacks, gourmet coffee, soft drinks, electronics and more. Professional drivers can take advantage of 85 truck parking spots, eight showers and a Love’s Truck Tire Care center. Love’s will continue expanding in Texas in the coming years. Additional locations are scheduled to open this year in Lufkin, Donna, Sonora and Sulphur Springs. Love’s also operates seven Speedco locations across the state, which currently offer lube, tire and battery services.
Love’s Travel Stops Announces Executive Changes

Love’s Travel Stops has promoted two employees to help lead managers and team members at its growing number of travel stops. Gary Price has been promoted to vice president of operations, and Tony Cribb has been promoted to division director. As vice president of operations, Price oversees store operations of more than 210 Love’s locations in four divisions spanning numerous states mainly in the eastern U.S. He shares the title of vice president of operations with Roger Ahuja, who oversees the remaining Love’s locations. Price began his Love’s career in 2016 as a division director. Prior to Love’s, he served as president of Corner Bakery Café in Dallas, TX, for four years. Cribb began his Love’s career in 1997 as an assistant store manager and served as a district manager for the last six years. In his new role as division director, Cribb oversees store operations of more than 40 stores in Alabama, Arkansas, Indiana, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi and Tennessee. Prior to Love’s, Cribb gained experience in the travel-stop industry working in restaurants and store management for Pilot Flying J for six years.
Pegasus Transtech Begins Retail Distribution of Transflo Telematics through Love's Travel Stop Locations

Pegasus TransTech announced at the Truckload Carriers Association Annual Convention that it has begun distributing its next-generation Transflo Telematics solution through all Love's Travel Stop locations. The new offering includes the Transflo ELD T7, an installation harness, and multilingual reference guides in consumer electronics packaging. The retail product also includes reporting insights and a new Transflo HOS mobile application through which independent drivers and small fleet owners register the device and manage logs. With underlying technology that has already been deployed by thousands of fleet drivers, the solution installs in minutes and is easy to use. Love's Travel Stops has signed an agreement to promote and sell the Transflo ELD T7 device throughout its nationwide locations, adding telematics to its list of electronics offerings. Love’s is also incorporating a special ELD offer to Gold, Platinum and Diamond My Love Rewards members, providing a free device and free monthly service through June 2018.
