Wenner Media Explore Strategic Options For Rolling Stone

Wenner Media LLC announced that it has initiated a process to explore strategic options for its majority interest in Rolling Stone L.L.C. to best position the brand for future growth. "Rolling Stone is a uniquely powerful brand with enormous opportunities to succeed in today's environment. We have made great strides transforming Rolling Stone into a multi-platform company, and we are thrilled to find the right home to build on our strong foundation and grow the business exponentially," said Gus Wenner, president and Chief Operating Officer of Wenner Media. Wenner Media To Sell Men's Journal

Wenner Media LLC is seeking to sell Men's Journal. American Media Inc., which publishes The National Enquirer and agreed to buy Us Weekly from Wenner in March, planned to announce on June 22, 2017 that it would also buy Men’s Journal, a men’s lifestyle magazine, from Wenner. Both Wenner and American Media declined to disclose the terms of the deal. “We weren’t proactively on the market with Men’s Journal, but the opportunity came up, and it kind of fits in with our plans and our desire to really continue to grow Rolling Stone,” Gus Wenner, the head of digital operations at Wenner and the son of the company’s founder, Jann S. Wenner, said in an interview on Wednesday. “It just made sense.”

Tronc In Talks To Buy Us Weekly

tronc, Inc. (NasdaqGM:TRNC) is in talks to acquire Us Weekly LLC from Wenner Media LLC for a price between $85 million to $95 million. Tronc is likely pursuing the acquisition to add more celebrity-based content to its other print publications and online sites.
