The Emirates Investment Authority is the federal sovereign wealth fund of the United Arab Emirates Government. The fund seeks to invest in the following sectors: financial services, prepared and preserved food, educational services. It is for all seven states of the United Arab Emirates, including Abu Dhabi; Ajman; Dubai; Fujairah; Ras al-Khaimah; Sharjah and Umm al-Quwain. The fund seeks to make investments in the public and private markets of the GCC as well as overseas. The Emirates Investment Authority was formed in November 2007 and is based in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.
